South Bay Aquatics offers various types of classes within each of our programs.

Private Lessons

Private lessons offer a 1:1 student to teacher ratio and are available to students of all ages. While the overall approach to learning is the same as a semi-private or group lesson, the entire class session is tailored to that student’s particular needs. Private lessons are particularly effective for our youngest students, adults, and students with special needs.

Semi-Private Lessons

Semi-Private Lessons are offered to children ages 3 and up and offer a 2:1 student to teacher ratio. Within each semi-private lesson, there will be group and individual activities. During each student’s individual time with the instructor, the lesson will be tailored to that student’s abilities to ensure each student progresses at their own rate.

Group Lessons

Group Lessons are offered to children ages 3 and up and offer a 3:1 student to teacher ratio. Within each group lesson there will be group and individual activities. During each student’s individual time with the instructor, the lesson will be tailored to that student’s abilities to ensure each student progresses at their own rate.

Baby & Me

Baby & Me classes are available to children age 6 months through 3 years old and their adult caregiver 18 years and up. Students will learn beginning swimming and breathing skills while emphasizing fun in the water through song and games in preparation for swim lessons.

Lesson tuition varies based on class type and the number of lessons per week and is paid in advance on a monthly basis. Upon initial registration, tuition will be pro-rated as appropriate based on the start date of classes. Payments are due on or before the last business day of the month prior to lessons taking place. 

In addition to the fee for tuition, new clients will be charged a one-time, non-refundable registration fee of $25.00 per student. This fee covers various expenses including Swimming Journals and other administrative costs.
